Liepāja University Faculty of Humanities and Arts and Kurzeme Institute of Humanities invite you to participate in the 22nd International Scientific Conference “The Word: Aspects of Research” which will be held at Liepāja University 30 November–1 December 2017.

KĖDAINIAI HOSTED THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE “REFORMATION AND LITHUANIAN STUDIES”
On the 25th–26th of September 2017, Kėdainiai hosted the international scientific conference “Reformation and Lithuanian Studies” dedicated to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. The conference discussed state, societal and cultural spheres of life most influenced by the Reformation, the influence of the Reformation over territories were Protestantism did not become a predominant religion as well as its influence over Lithuanian studies, i.e. the development of Lithuania as a state, its society, culture, language history and literature, research and dissemination of Lithuanian studies in Lithuania and abroad, the differences and similarities of the Protestantism and protestants in Lithuania and other European countries. Together with representatives from Lithuanian scholarly and academic institutions in the framework of the project scholars, academic staff and undergraduates arrived from the centres of Baltic (Lithuanian) studies to participate at the conference.
THE CALL FOR THE LITHUANIAN LANGUAGE WINTER COURSE AT VILNIUS UNIVERSITY IS NOW OPEN
The application period for the Lithuanian Language Winter Course has started. The course will be held at Vilnius University from January 8 to 19, 2018.
The incoming students will have their travel expenses covered and will receive the scholarship of 266 EUR.
