On 17-24 May Linas Didvalis, Associate Professor at the Department of Cultural Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Vytautas Magnus University, visited the University of Tartu, Estonia. During the visit, the students were introduced to the links between the Baltic and East Asian regions, especially Lithuania's relations with Japan, and the approach to study about the Baltics and Lithuania from the perspective of area studies. Meetings with researchers, library visits, and discussions on study programmes were also held. The time spent at the University of Tartu allowed both to share the knowledge and to strengthen the links, which inevitably weakened during the COVID-19 pandemic.
