VISIT OF TEACHER GRETA LEMANAITĖ-DEPRATI FROM KRAKOW JAGIELLONIAN UNIVERSITY
From 27 October to 5 November 2017, Greta Lemanaitė-Deprati, lecturer at the Lithuanian Cultural Centre of Krakow Jagiellonian University, was visiting Vilnius and Vytautas Magnus Universities. During her internship, Greta Lemanaitė met lecturers from the two universities, attended seminars delivered by Lithuanian researchers, and worked in libraries.
DR. INGA HILBIG’S FROM VILNIUS UNIVERSITY VISIT TO GOETHE UNIVERSITY FRANKFURT
From the 29th of October to the 5th of November 2017, Vilnius University teacher Dr. Inga Hilbig visited Goethe University Frankfurt. Dr. Inga Hilbig delivered a series of lectures “Lithuania and Lithuanians Today: Socio-Cultural Matters” to the students of the Institute of Baltic Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt.
DR. VITA IVANAUSKAITĖ-ŠEIBUTIENĖ’S FROM THE INSTITUTE OF LITHUANIAN LITERATURE AND FOLKLORE VISIT TO THE UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW
From the 22 of October to the 4 of November 2017, Vita Ivanauskaitė-Šeibutienė from the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore visited the University of Warsaw. During the visit, the lecturer gave lectures on “Lithuanian Folklore in the Life of Traditional Community”.
DR. MINDAUGAS KVIETKAUSKAS’ FROM THE INSTITUTE OF LITHUANIAN LITERATURE AND FOLKLORE VISIT TO THE UNIVERSITY OF WROCLAW
On the 19–31 of October 2017, Dr. Mindaugas Kvietkauskas from the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore visited the Centre for Lithuanian Language and Culture Studies at the University of Wroclaw. During the visit, the lecturer delivered lectures in Polish on “Multilingual Literature in Lithuania in 1904–1940”. Dr. M. Kvietkauskas also gave consultations to the students of Lithuanian studies writing academic papers.
DR. VYTAUTAS RINKEVIČIUS’ FROM VILNIUS UNIVERSITY VISIT TO THE UNIVERSITY OF LATVIA
On the 22nd–29th October 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vytautas Rinkevičius from the Department of Baltic Studies, Vilnius University, visited the Centre for Lithuanian Studies at the University of Latvia. At the Centre for Lithuanian Studies, Dr. Vytautas Rinkevičius delivered a series of lectures “The Prussian Language”, and discussed prospects of cooperation.
ASSOC. PROF. DR. VIJOLĖ VIŠOMIRSKYTĖ’S VISIT TO CHARLES UNIVERSITY IN PRAGUE
On October 19-25, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vijolė Višomirskytė from the Department of Lithuanian Studies (Vytautas Magnus University) visited the Baltic Studies Centre at Charles University in Prague. During her visit, she gave lectures to students, discussed issues related to teaching Lithuanian as a foreign language, and got acquainted with student translations.
DR. ANTRA KĻAVINSKA’S VISIT IN LITHUANIA
On October 20-29, Dr. Antra Kļavinska, lecturer at the Baltic Studies Centre at Rezekne Academy of Technologies, visited Lithuania. During the visit, she participated in an international seminar held at Vytautas Magnus University, gave lectures to VMU students, met with VMU lecturers and researchers, and worked at the Library of Vilnius University.
LITHUANIAN UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES PROFESSOR DR. DAINIUS VAITIEKŪNAS’ ACADEMIC VISIT TO NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ORIENTAL LANGUAGES AND CIVILIZATIONS IN PARIS (INALCO)
On 16-22 October 2017, Prof. Dr. Dainius Vaitiekūnas from the Department of Lithuanian and Comparative Literature at Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences visited National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations in Paris (INALCO). Prof. Dr. Dainius Vaitiekūas delivered a series of lectures on the 21st c. literature to the students of the Centre for Lithuanian Studies.
THE VISIT OF ALIONA SHYBA AT LITHUANIAN UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES
From 29 October to 4 November 2017, Aliona Shyba as a representative of the Centre of Lithuanian Studies at Chernovcy National Jurij Fedkovich Pedagogical University visited Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences. During the short-term visit, Aliona Shyba attended classes of teachers working at Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences, had meetings with members of the administration, discussed topical issues with colleagues, and worked at Vilnius libraries.
