    INTERNSHIP OF DR. MANFREDAS ŽVIRGŽDAS

    On 2-16 October 2017, Dr. Manfredas Žvirgždas from the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore participated in an internship at Masaryk University in Brno. During the visit, he gave a series of lectures entitled "Introduction to the Lithuanian Classical Literature" in Lithuanian and English to students of Baltic studies.

    THE VISIT OF PROF. DR. PIETRO U. DINI AT VILNIUS UNIVERSITY

    On 28 September - 8 October 2017, Prof. Dr. Pietro U. Dini (University of Pisa) was visiting the Faculty of Philology at Vilnius University. He delivered a workshop to the students, consulted on the issues of historical, general linguistics and translation theory. The professor also gave a presentation in the conference "Translation: sameness, likeness and match".

    ASSOC. PROF. EDMUNDAS TRUMPA’S FROM UNIVERSITY OF LATVIA ACADEMIC VISIT TO VILNIUS UNIVERSITY

     On 2-8 October 2017, Associate Professor Dr. Edmundas Trumpa visited the Faculty of Philology of Vilnius University. During the academic visit, Dr. E. Trumpa delivered a lecture, discussed possibilities for cooperation between the University of Latvia and Vilnius University, and met colleagues from Vilnius University, the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore as well as members of the Lithuanian Writers’ Union.

    THE VISIT OF EVA KRIVANKOVA AT VILNIUS UNIVERSITY

    On 17-23 September 2017, lecturer Eva Krivankova (Masaryk University, Brno) was visiting the Faculty of Philology at Vilnius University. During the visit, E. Krivankova worked at the Library of Vilnius University, was consulted by the lecturers from the Department of Baltic Studies and the Department of Lithuanian Language.

    LITHUANIAN UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES TEACHERS DR. JURGA TRIMONYTĖ BIKELIENĖ AND DR. ONA PETRĖNIENĖ’S ACADEMIC VISIT TO GEORGIAN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

    On 1-8 October 2017, Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences teachers Dr. Jurga Trimonytė Bikelienė and Dr. Ona Petrėnienė visited the Centre for Lithuanian Language and Culture at Georgian Technical University. The teachers delivered lectures on the Lithuanian language policy, Lithuanian lexicology and lexical stylistics, conducted the Lithuanian language workshops for beginners, organised a quiz, took part in educational and cultural programmes, and met with Mayor of the Kazbek Municipality. 

    GEDA MONTVILAITĖ-SABAITIENĖ’S INTERNSHIP

    On 14-23 September 2017, professor from the Baltic Studies Center of Charles University in Prague Geda Montvilaitė-Sabaitienė participated in an internship. During the internship, Geda Montvilaitė-Sabaitienė gave lectures, carried out research in the library, collected materials for the subjects taught, and met researchers from the Lithuanian centres of Baltic and Lithuanian studies.
